- Abstract
The article focuses on the challenges of diagnosing dementia onset in patients with psychiatric-onset prodromal dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), highlighting improvements in cognitive function before and after electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). It discusses the difficulty in assessing dementia onset in psychiatric-onset DLB cases and presents a patient example where cognitive function improved following ECT, complicating the diagnosis of dementia.
