- Abstract
The fractions were then separated by repeated chromatography on silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 to obtain compounds B 1 b (7.8 mg), B 2 b (5.7 mg), B 3 b (6.3 mg), B 4 b (9.8 mg), B 5 b (13.7 mg), B 6 b (6.4 mg), and B 7 b (7.9 mg). As a continuation of our interest in the discovery of bioactive secondary metabolites from I B. parviflora i [[2]], we have successfully isolated seven compounds, including betulin ( B 1 b ) [3], lupenone ( B 2 b ) [4], I i -amyrin ( B 3 b ) [5], myricitrin ( B 4 b ) [6], chrysoeriol ( B 5 b ) [7], 3,3',4-tri I O i -methylellagic acid ( B 6 b ) [8], and sonnercerebroside ( B 7 b ) [9], from the leaves of I B. parviflora i . To the best of our knowledge, compounds B 1 b , B 3 b , and B 4-7 b were isolated for the first time from this plant.
