- Authors

- Abstract
The author investigates the impact of endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) techniques on mortality rates among abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) patients. The author reveals that the emergence of EVAR has resulted in the decline of open AAA repair. He states that there has been no significant difference in mortality rates between patients handled by Australasian surgeons trained in the modern endovascular era and patients whose surgeons are older and trained in more traditional techniques.
