- Title
Adoption of Consumer Policies by States: Some Empirical Perspectives.
- Authors
Ford, Gary T.
- Abstract
The author analyzes differences in states' adoption of consumerism legislation and identifies the leader and laggard states. Positive correlations between consumer law adoption behavior and states' demographic and socioeconomic characteristics are demonstrated. The results indicate that states take cues for adoption of consumer legislation from states in their region and from states which have similar characteristics.
