- Abstract
The Catholic University of Lublin, due to its ideological roots, immediately found itself on a different side from the communists who had ruled Poland since the end of World War II. By definition, the university employees did not participate in the process of building the "new man", rejecting the Marxist research paradigm. This does not mean, however, that everyone remained "outside" the reality of that time. The state authorities, mainly through the apparatus of violence, tried to control the Catholic "anti-university". On the other hand, some of its representatives allowed themselves to be entangled in intelligence cooperation. This article is about these issues.
