- Abstract
It has been shown that the two-electron mechanism of nonlinear optical absorption considered in the first two parts of our study, even at laser radiation intensities j ∼ 10 3-10 4 W/cm 2 in the case of nanosecond pulses, can lead to almost complete absorption of light by crystals that are transparent to weak radiation of the same wavelength. A number of materials that can exhibit the considered effects have been described.
