- Abstract
During the intense spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, which took place during the years 2020 and 2021, a qualitative investigation was developed in Ecuador with 28 young people, between the ages of 18 and 28, conducting individual interviews or focus groups, both online. The young people consulted--all university students--came from different regions of the country and from low-income sectors. The results presented in this article highlight a set of problems around three analytical axes: space, time and ict. The findings show that, contrary to the narrative that the pandemic put everyone in the same boat, it was young people, as a social group already neglected by public policies before the pandemic and subject to permanent stigmatization, who were the first victims of the treatment imposed by the Ecuadorian State.
