Infecções De Trato Respiratório e IgAS: Uma Comparação Entre Atletas Recreacionais E Atletas De Eli.

- Abstract
Objetivo: O presente trabalho tem como objetivo relacionar a infecção do trato respiratório (ITR) com a prática da atividade física de atletas recreacionais (AR) e atletas de elite (AE), considerando a importante interferência da resposta humoral na proteção da mucosa respiratória Metodologia e fonte de dados: Trata-se de uma revisão da literatura científica relacionada à imunologia do exercício físico. Foram utilizadas buscas por artigos na plataforma PUBMED utilizando-se as palavras-chave immunology, physical exercise, immunoglobulin A, recreational athlete, elite athlete, exercise medicine, exercise immunology. Os artigos que não se relacionavam com esse assunto foram excluídos. Discussão: Com o aumento da prática de exercício físico, sabe-se que sua frequência e intensidade pode afetar diretamente a resposta imunitária do atleta, visto que o exercício físico gera microlesões celulares, além de causar danos ao material contrátil do miócito, gerando antígenos que ativam uma resposta imunitária. Assim, o desencadeamento da inflamação visa restabelecer a homeostasia orgânica após sessões individuais ou crônicas de exercícios. Estudos têm demostrado que a atividade física intensa está associada a uma diminuição da resposta humoral. A Imunoglobulina A (IgA) é um anticorpo que faz parte da primeira linha de defesa contra patógenos, alérgenos e antígenos apresentados na superfície de mucosas. Estudos feitos comparando níveis de IgA salivar (IgAS) pré e pósexercício e ntre AE e AR constataram que, no geral, os níveis de IgAS de AE diminuem após o exercício extenuante, enquanto que nos AR continuam no mesmo nível préexercício ou aumentam levemente. Logo, atletas recreacionais não possuem a janela imunológica pós-exercício, a qual favorece o surgimento e o estabelecimento de infecções pela baixa concentração de IgAS presente nela, principalmente as de trato respiratório. Por fim, a recuperação desses níveis de IgA para a normalidade, ou seja, para os níveis de descanso ou pré-exercício, demonstram depender do volume e da intensidade do treinamento. Conclusão: Nos AE há uma queda da IgA após o término da atividade física, promovendo o surgimento da janela imunológica e aumentando o risco de infecção. Ao mesmo tempo, exercícios moderados demonstraram ter impacto positivo na IgAS. Assim, diferentemente dos AE, os quais possuem ITR de repetição, o exercício moderado, realizado pelos AR, estimula uma resposta humoral mais adequada, que possibili ta uma maior resistência às ITR.
