- Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigated levels of acylation-stimulating protein (ASP) in correlation with the lipid profile during pregnancy. The study included pregnant and non-pregnant women. ASP levels were increased in the pregnant women. The study found that it is possible that gestational hormone alterations during pregnancy may affect ASP function as a lipogenic factor.
