The article discusses the experience of deaf and hard-of-hearing women in the occupational world of Israel and their intiatives to establish a law that will hire a deaf person. Topics mentioned include the position as disabled women in the work group, the testimonies of retired and employed deaf women in the academic education that partcipated in the narrative study, and the raised political awareness brought by their personal struggle.
