- Abstract
The article discusses how domestic art that is often found in the homes of the faithful provide a devotional, almost ritualistic, function that affirms the story of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It emphasis on family values and the well-ordered, pious household, which mirrors church structure, can be found in art pieces. it also refer the painter Wulf Barsch, an abstract painter whose art challenges the viewer to read the text in the same way one might read sacred writings.
