- Abstract
The article presents a medical case where the patient is infected with primary biliary cirrhosis with unusual vascular skin changes. Twelve years ago the patient noticed a symptomless black spot near the right ankle. Gradually similar lesions have appeared higher up the legs together with red spots on the trunk, and new lesions continue to erupt. Ten years ago she developed xanthelasma around the eyes. Three years ago she suffered from recurrent urticaria for a period. She tends to get very tired and the skin changes have extended since this time. Now she is on a low fat diet. Recent liver function tests and serum cholesterol levels have not differed significantly.
