- Authors
Knoll, Kristina R.
- Abstract
The article discusses the concept of feminist disability studies pedagogy. According to the author, the said practice encourages instructors to strive for universally designed (UD) objects and instruction. It states that UD approach is necessary because each individual has varying experiences of privilege and oppression in terms of disability, race, class, gender, sexuality, national and religion. It emphasizes that educators employing UD strategies must incorporate tools to account for cultural barriers to be considered in particular arenas of access and accommodation.
