- Abstract
Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for adrenal metastases. Methods: Between August 2011 and December 2012, five patients with adrenal metastases that originated from non small lung cancer were analyzed. Three patients had bilateral metastases. Patients underwent SBRT with CyberKnife. Results: Median survival was 21.6 months from diagnosis and 5.2 months after SBRT in our patients. Toxicity was not observed in our patients. Conclusion: Stereotactic body radiation therapy is an effective treatment option for adrenal metastases when surgery is contraindicated.
