- Abstract
Psoriasis is a multifactorial-chronic-inflammatory skin disease, characterized by erythemato-squamous lesions, with a chronic relapsing course and significant systemic comorbidities (arthritis, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases).1,2 Erythrodermic psoriasis (EP), has a prevalence of 1% to 2.25% among psoriatic population.3 EP is characterized by cutaneous redness, tending to purple, scaling, edema, pruritus, occasionally exudative lesions and diffuse desquamation, covering more than 90% of body surface. Moreover, recent evidence suggested that an excessive IL-17A signaling play a crucial role, contributing to evolution of clinical events.4 Herein, we report a case of 52-year-old man with a long history of severe-plaque psoriasis, with recurrent episodes of EP, affected by Polycythemia successfully treated with anti IL-17 agent.
