- Abstract
The author describes a global professional-development program that has united educators from Northern Ireland with current and former educators from a Virginia public school system in partnership with faculty from the College of Education at James Madison University. Focused on a mutual need to address the special needs of underrepresented populations, the program, initiated in 2019 and still evolving, emphasizes collaboration within a global context through a STEM-focused, problem-based learning experience.
