- Title
Laws of the Jungle: Conflicts Between International-National Environmental Law and Taromak Rukai-Environment Relations.
- Abstract
The article presents a comparative study of the institutions of international, national, and local environmental regulatory regimes to empower the constructive formation of customary institutions and environmental worldviews for Taiwanese indigenous Rukai people. It cites evidence of perceptions and values of the environment within three social levels. The Taromak Rukai tribe is used as an example of how a local indigenous group values their environment.
