- Abstract
The article examines investor considerations with respect to the Year 15 lifecycle of a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) public-private partnership. Topics discussed are mechanics of the LIHTC program, role of private capital and nonprofit entities in LIHTC projects, disputes on property valuations, treatment of positive capital accounts and the nonprofit Right of First Refusal (ROFR), and role of the LIHTC in addressing affordable housing shortage in the U.S.
