- Title
Case for Use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Says Researcher.
- Abstract
The article reports that researcher Andrew Davies states that the Australian Federal Government must reconsider its decision to put off purchase of the Global Hawk drone aircraft from 2010 to 2019. Davies says that while several government agencies had requirements for surveillance data, the decision-making and money for the capability was "stovepiped" only in Defence. He says that the government had deferred the purchase because it would put excessive pressure on Defence.
