- Abstract
The present study analyzes the defense and supplies to Acquafredda the Catalan- Aragonese fortress in southern Sardinia survived in the end of the fourteenth century to the attacks of the troops Arbórea. Crucial in this context is the role assumed by the general batlle Regnum Sardiniae, whose institutional prerogatives of director and head of the royal heritage mix up with political, management and defense functions of the Sardinian-Catalan kingdom, on the edge of collapse.
