- Authors
Kim, Euikon
- Abstract
The article offers information on the denuclearization of North Korea, which is a means to achieve regional stability in Asia. It states that major economic powers including the U.S., China, Russia, Japan, and South Korea seek for the denuclearization of North Korea through Six Party Talks. It mentions that a decision is reached as the second nuclear crisis in North Korea unfolds, which threatens to ignite nuclear proliferation in Asia. It adds that the nuclear crisis is brought by North Korea's power succession from President Kim Jong-Il to Kim Jong-un. Moreover, the nuclear armament of North Korea has a domino effect on nuclear proliferation and the nuclear arms race.
