- Abstract
The article presents a study on the importance of nutrition label numeracy and sociodemographic characteristics towards predicting U.S. health behaviors. It examines how lower levels of nutrition label numeracy were found to associate with characteristics such as older age, unemployment, and lower income. They authors go on to discuss how disparities in nutrition label numeracy comprehension should be considered in developing health interventions on dietary behaviors.
