- Abstract
The article examines the dyadic qualities of modern financial markets and explain the broader context in promoting environmentally responsible finance market in the U.S. It discusses the movement for socially responsible investment (SRI), which has been muted since the late 1990s by its drift towards a pragmatic business case approach. It also explores the capacity of SRI to stimulate action on climate change issues through voluntary codes of conduct on climate finance.
