- Abstract
The article comments on the report "The effect of linkage on limits to artificial selection," by W.G. Hill and A. Robertson. It explains why the study of Hill and Robertson is important in the field of evolutionary biology and to the subsequent discovery of the biological phenomenon, known as the Hill-Robertson (HR) effect. According to the article, the HR effect is important when its explanatory and predictive aspects are applied to evolutionary biological observations.
