- Abstract
The article discusses the German writer Ernest Jünger's philosophy on the meaning of the First World War, or World War I, through referencing several of his literary works, including the 1922 essay "Fighting As an Inner Experience (Der Kampf als inneres Erlebnis)," the book "Storm of Steel (In Stahlgewittern)" and the essay "The Worker (Der Arbeiter)."
