- Title
SEEKING COMMON SENSE IN IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT.
- Authors
Buwalda, Ann
- Abstract
The author discusses immigration enforcement in the U.S. and reflects on the one sided and destructive solution applied by the authorities. She says that the solutions available for mitigating the destruction of families such as the 'waiver of inadmissibility' have limited results. She reflects on the idea of self-deportation in which a state or local community tries to make the living conditions so unbearable that the immigrants without legal papers will leave on their own.
