- Abstract
The constituents of essential oil extracted from the whole herbs of Crossostephium chinense (L.) Makino by water steam distillation were analyzed by GC-MS method. Two hundred and thirty-two compounds were separated. Their relative contents were determined. Fifty-six compounds comprising 62.59% of the total essential oil were identified. The content of the major compound, isocaryophillene, reaches up to 14.94% of the total oil.
