Title
New additive makes plastic compostable.
Abstract
The article reports on the development by Goody Environment of an additive that can make any plastic bio-compostable. It partnered with The Green Group to commercialise the plastic's use in bottles and caps. According to Andrew Ball of Flinders University, Goody Additive G1 has shown that its interaction with petrochemical plastics results in the formation of a plastic which meets the Australian standard for being labelled biocompostable.
