The article analyzes the predicament of democratic transition and consolidation from the experience of Bangladesh. It attempts to analyze the mechanism that is keeping Bangladesh suspended in illiberal democracy. It examines enemy discourses among political parties. It tries to develop a process analysis for identifying the determinants of democratic consolidation.
