The article discusses research which investigated spousal age gap and citizenship status in cross-border marriages in the U.S. Topics explored include the intersection between the timing of migration and marriage, factors which contributed to relationship opportunities between immigrants and American citizens such as social media and international travel, and the residence and work permits which may be issued to migrant spouses in the country.
