The color of art.
- Authors
Hatch, James V.
- Abstract
The article presents an insight into black theatre. According to one definition, the performance of a black actor is considered as black theatre. Writer August Wilson advocates that African Americans should form and build their own cultural identity. The article further raises some questions on black theatre and offers a look at some black characters who earned record breaking performances in classic novels including "Othello," by William Shakespeare and "Abram Hills by Anna Lucasta. To sum up the article asserts that the color of the art should be the performance instead of the color of the performer.
