- Abstract
This article discusses a macrocyclic iron complex that acts as a catalyst for oxidations using hydrogen peroxide. The iron complex is highly active and mimics the behavior of enzymes in water at pH 7. When activated by hydrogen peroxide, the iron complex rapidly oxidizes a pollutant called orange II to colorless products. The article provides more information on this topic and can be found in the Research Article by L.J. Wright and co-workers.
