- Abstract
The article offers information on the risk profiling technique that is used as a tool to identify the primary risks of chemical and process plants. It is stated in a study that the risk profiling technique helps in the quantification of fire and explosion risks to aid prioritise safety measures. It indicates the percentage of possible releases, fires and explosions connected to each part of the storage area. In addition, it also offers a suggestion of opportunity of ignition as input into demonstrating the consequences such as thermal radiation and explosion overpressure.
