- Abstract
In order to chemically modify chitosan and explore its coagulation performance, chitosan with rich sources was used as the starting material to carry out quaternary ammonium modification through nucleophilic substitution reaction, the structure was characterized by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD), and its coagulation properties were evaluated in vitro. The characterization results showed that quaternized chitosan had been successfully prepared. The quaternized chitosan (50 mg) had the coagulation time of 128.2 s in vitro, the blood clotting index of 43. 6%,and the plasma recalcification time of 102.1 s. These results showed that quaternized chitosan had a strong procoagulant property.
