- Abstract
The article discusses the evaluation of health risks arising from the leak radiation at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station in Japan. It states that cohort studies are needed in examining the effects of radiation exposure and which will rely on the contamination from damaged reactors. It adds that the plant workers are being monitored by to determine long-term health effects of the radiation, while Radiation Effects Research Foundation (RERF) will start a study on the Fukushima plant.
