- Abstract
The mature leaves or folium of Artemisia argyi contain various bioactive substances, such as flavonoids and polysaccharides, which are widely used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Artemisia ar- gyi folium polysaccharide is a heteropolysaccharide found in the leaves and composed of different monosaccha- rides with antioxidant and anti -tumor properties and the capacity to regulate immunity, hypoglycemia and apoptosis. Moreover, it offers significant potential for the development of functional foods. Therefore, this article summarized and analyzed the existing literature on the extraction and structural and functional analyses of Artemisia argyi folium polysaccharides to provide a theoretical basis for further research and the development of new functional foods.
