- Abstract
LCL transportation is a form of transportation that is widely used all over the world in order to reduce logistics costs in all transportation modes. In the study, LCL strategy of RSC Logistics and Foreign Trade company serving in Konya province was examined with SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis. SWOT analysis is a widely utilized important technique for analyzing internal and external environments, and it mostly takes into account only qualitative examination of environmental factors. In order to overcome these shortcomings, it was used in integration with the fuzzy AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) a SWOT analysis to determine the relative importance weights among the criteria. Although SWOT-fuzzy AHP integration is a method used in the literature, it is the first study to apply this method to freight forwarder companies' LCL transportation strategy. The study contributes to the literature with this aspect. As a result of the findings obtained, it was determined that the most important priority was "the lack of containers and the problem of space on the ship", while the least important priority was found to be "dominance of collect freight in LCL".
