- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of people, place, and data analysis in the work of economic development professionals in the U.S. Also cited are some practical and equitable economic development strategies that can be used in private, public and non-profit sectors at different geographic scales, some examples like the proposed mixed-use development project in Long Island City, Queens, New York, and the role of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
