- Abstract
In this article the author discusses the impact of the law which establishes prevention and control of Mediterranean forest fires, on the forest insect biodiversity in Portugal. He comments on the failure of the government to consider the ecological impact of the law that implements rules for mandatory clearance of the forest vegetation as well as notes its advantages and disadvantages. Suggestions for implementing few measures for biodiversity conservation.
