- Abstract
An essay is presented which focuses on the 18th century snakeskin-finish beaker in the Metalwork Collection of the Museum of Applied Arts in Budapest, Hungary. Topics discussed include the possible representation of the wedding of István Naláczi and Zsuzsanna Toldalagi through the engraving of their coats-of-arms on the beaker, the production of beakers with a snakeskin finish in Hungary and Transylvania, and the Transylvanian wedding customs during the 18th century.
