- Abstract
The article discusses the significance of Team Sport Assessment Procedure (TSAP) in assuring adequate and authentic assessment of students' performance in actual game contexts in Canada. TSAP is developed to provide teachers with reliable data on student performance in different invasion and net games and explain its different applications in games education at upper elementary, middle and high school levels. The significance of measurement procedures and instruments is very evident to assure adequate and authentic assess students' performance in actual game contexts. TSAP offers the diagnostic, formative and summative aspect of the game evaluation. It is based on two basic notions which include how a player gains possession of the ball and how the player disposes of the ball.
