- Abstract
The article describes the use of hydrophilic-interaction chromatography (HILIC) in different application areas as an alternative to reversed-phase liquid chromatography (LC) when retention is too low under reversed-phase LC conditions. Topics discussed include a comparison of the separations of a simple mixture of five small molecules under reversed-phase LC and HILIC conditions, the cation linked with an anionic buffering agent, and a cationic analyte obtained under HILIC conditions.
