- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that investigates the increase in intracellular Ca2+ concentration and also focuses on the release of serotonin (5-HT) induced by hydrogen sulfide with the help of transient receptor potential A1 in the rat pancreatic cell line RIN14B. It mentions the use of calcium ion imaging technique and high performance liquid chromatography. The study reveals that hydrogen sulfide opens TRPA1 channels by the covalent modification of cysteine residues.
