- Abstract
The article focuses on studies that investigate the epidemiology of Hantavirus infection in Mexico and also reflects on the role of nucleocapsid protein N-terminus domain in serological diagnoses. The ecological a study reveals that the Mexican Montano virus (MTNV) is carried by Peromyscus. beatae species whereas community-acquired respiratory virus infections were carried by Reithrodontomys. sumichrasti. It mentions that cross-reactivity arising from the N-terminus is due to viral proteins.
