- Abstract
The article presents a study by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) which reveals Russian sturgeon or Acipenser gueldenstaedtii is an endangered species. It highlights the strong demand of Russian sturgeon in both commercial and reintroduction purposes in Europe and Asia. It also examines the occurrence of mycobacteriosis in fish which can cause mycobacterium chelonae in fish tissues.
