- Title
Funding, Grants, Hiring, Programs: Sharing Advice on How to get Things Done in Hard Times.
- Authors
Swaminathan, Srividhya
- Abstract
The author offers advice on funding, hiring and organizing programs in humanities in the U.S. She believes that the current state of the academy does not favor the humanities in terms of funding and that the reason relates to the nature of research in the humanities. She cites three institutions, including the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Humanities Center, that offer summer study options for learning new material and connecting with scholars across the U.S.
