ANOMALIA DE PELGER-HÜET EM CÃO: RELATO DE CASO.

- Abstract
Anomalia de Pelger-Hüet (APH) é caracterizada pela hiposegmentação dos granulócitos devido a falha na maturação do núcleo, sendo descrita como um distúrbio hereditário raro de caráter benigno, apresentando núcleos hiposegmentados, bilobulados, arredondados com citoplasma abundante e padrão de cromatina granular maduro. O objetivo do presente estudo foi relatar a ocorrência de APH em um cão atendido no Hospital Veterinário da Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro. Um cão da raça Basenji, macho, nove meses de idade, foi atendido para realização de orquiectomia eletiva. Foi realizado hemograma, os valores hematológicos estavam dentro do limite de normalidade. Durante avaliação morfológica das células, foi observado hiposegmentação dos neutrófilos, sem alterações de toxicidade, além de eosinófilos hiposegmentados. A maioria de neutrófilos segmentados apresentavam núcleo bilobulado ou em forma de ampulheta, sugerindo ser a forma heterozigota da anomalia. Foi realizado um segundo hemograma 34 dias após, onde descartou-se a possibilidade de um desvio nuclear dos neutrófilos a esquerda (DNNE) degenerativo, por não haver outras alterações, tanto clínicas quanto hematológicas, que indiquem alguma doença de caráter infeccioso. A raça Basenji é uma das predisponentes a esta anomalia. No Brasil, estudos sobre APH são escassos, os animais heterozigotos são assintomáticos, sendo de difícil diagnóstico, já que não são realizados hemogramas de cães saudáveis rotineiramente e a APH não é incluída como diagnóstico diferencial quando desvio à esquerda persistente é observado. Por ser uma anomalia hereditária, é fundamental estabelecer esta origem através de achados morfológicos característicos nos esfregaços sanguíneos de outros membros da família. A APH é um achado hematológico sem risco para a saúde do animal, já que os leucócitos granulócitos não possuem suas funções alteradas, mas é de grande importância devido ao possível erro de interpretação do leucograma, levando a um diagnóstico de pseudo DNNE degenerativo, o que pode causar condutas clínicas e terapêuticas desnecessárias.
