- Abstract
This article explores the alterations in liver function tests (LFTs) associated with various liver diseases prevalent in India. The study collected samples from 100 liver disease patients and found that cirrhosis of the liver was the most prevalent disease, followed by viral hepatitis, obstructive jaundice, and alcoholic liver disease. The study also identified specific alterations in LFTs for each disease, such as elevated bilirubin levels in cirrhosis of the liver and obstructive jaundice. The authors conclude that altered LFTs are useful tools for diagnosing liver diseases and recommend further research on a larger scale.
