- Abstract
The article provides an overview of a survey of human resources (HR) professional published in the January 2006 issue of "HR Focus," about the most important issues anticipated in the year 2006. The survey shows that nearly 75% are concerned about retaining and developing key employees. The primary issue was followed by employee engagement and enhanced productivity, leadership training and development and technology applications for improved HR operations. Other critical issues included cost control throughout HR.
