- Abstract
Le Corbusier always maintained an unruly attitude toward architectural instruction: his very success came from the fact he was an autodidact. So why, then, did he build a School of Architecture in Chandigarh? This paper presents general facts about the project and about its relationship with the College of Arts project located in the same city. The paper searches for ways in which the project demonstrates itself as a very Lecorbuserian method of architectural instruction, through a model that based on the Modulor creates a building designed for unlimited horizontal expansion, or mat-building.
